Sandwich Wildlife Park (formerly the Rare Species Conservation Center) was taken over as a sister site by Wingham Wildlife Park on 9th January 2017. As of 12th October 2020, you will for the first time be able to visit the park and be free to walk around the park and enjoy this unique slice of Kent, as well as still being able to make an appointment to meet some of the animals up close through purchasing one of our animal experiences.
If you want to join us for a day out, please be aware that we are just a small park and recommend between 1 and 2 hours to enjoy the whole park. We have some amazing species which of course can keep your attention for longer, especially if you’re a keen photographer, but we recommend that you allow 1 to 1.5 hours for an average visit, with pre-booked arrival time slots of 10:00, 12:00 and 14:00. Visit our online shop to purchase tickets!
We do also have a coffee shop which is open for hot and cold drinks, paninis, jacket potatos, cream teas and cakes. We are open on:
PLEASE NOTE – The last entry to the park will be at 15:00, with the park closing at 16:00 during the winter period. Please keep this in mind if purchasing the 14:00 time slot.
Also only food purchased at the park may be consumed in the coffee shop and outdoor seating area by the car park and play area. We also do not have the facilities to be able to allow picnics inside the wildlife park.
